Physical features, along with climate, play an important part in human, vegetation and animal life in an area. Mountains, lakes, rivers, oceans, valleys, rain, snow, etc. help determine these life forms existence. In this section you will identify and locate important physical features that will have an impact on human, vegetation and animal history in the area now known as Oklahoma.

- Using your Google account, locate and open Maps.
- Create a new map.
- Locate and click on "Untitled map", change the map title to "Physical Features of Oklahoma" then click on "Save".
- Locate and click on "Untitled layer", change the layer name to "Geological Features" then click on "Save".
- Locate and click on "Add layer".
- In the appearing layer, locate and click on "Untitled layer", change the layer name to "Rivers" then click on "Save".
- Locate and click on "Add layer".
- In the appearing layer, locate and click on "Untitled layer", change the layer name to "Ecological Regions" then click on "Save".
- Locate and click on "Add layer".
- In the appearing layer, locate and click on "Untitled layer", change the layer name to "Natural Resources" then click on "Save".
- Locate and click on the "Basemap" drop-down triangle.
- From the appearing map options, locate and click on the "terrain" base map.
